Programme Notes
Henning Annundsen commissioned the work for Skodvin Skulemusikk as a tribute to brass banding in the Nordhordland region of Norway. It is a set of character variations on a five-note motif (C D E F G), each portraying a figure from Norwegian banding, including Tom Brevik, Frode Rydland, Viggo Bjørge, Knut-Harald Rydland and Howard Snell.

Notes
- Grade. Gramercy Music, the publisher, gives no numeric grade; its catalogue says the work "is playable by 4th section bands", which is shown here. Studio Music, which sells the work, shows "Difficulty C - Intermediate"; that is the seller's label and is not used.
- Duration. The publisher's score gives "c. 10 mins". Studio Music (10.00) and 4barsrest (10 minutes) agree.
- Year. The composer's note in the score is dated March 2018 and the front matter is © 2018 Gramercy Music (UK). The first page of music is © 2019 Gramercy Music Publishing (UK), and Brass Band Results gives 2019. 2018 is used here.
- Catalogue numbers. As printed by Studio Music (part numbers He01BB and He01BBa). The Gramercy catalogue page gives no catalogue number.
- Instrumentation. From the publisher's sample score. It has single staves for each part and a single percussion stave, and no Timpani stave on the first page. The percussion list is everything named in the 19 sample pages, which may not be the whole score. The score also asks the band for finger clicks in one passage, with optional body percussion.
- Movements. The variation titles are from the score headings. The composer's note calls the third one "Mr Bjørge's Walk"; the score heading is "The Bjørge Walk". The note also mentions an interlude featuring solo cornet before Frode's Dance and a closing reprise of the hymn.
- Premiere. Not found.
- Media. No recording found.
- Commission. The commissioner is spelt "Annundsen" in the composer's note and by 4barsrest and Studio Music, but "Anundsen" in the score's dedication.
